Call for tenders for the opening of the Deusto canal and the construction of the new bridge

The Bilbao City Council call for tenders for the opening of the Deusto canal and the construction of the bridge which will link Deusto with the future Zorrotzaurrre island is published today in the Official Gazette of Bizkaia. The two projects will be undertaken simultaneously.

The project budget base has been set at 24.2 million Euros (VAT not included) and the Management Commission will provide approximately 8 million.

The period for presentation of tenders ends on September 27th and work is expected to commence towards the end of the year.
